Robert macdonold, logistics management, potential for jordano foods.
Jordano food company is its manufacturing and marketing departments that help it to grow in supply chain. Its manufacturing and marketing strategies are very strong that Jordano brothers successfully spread their business in major functional areas. Currently, they have three plants, and their revenue is $600 million per year. However, their logistic section is a cornerstone for the success of their company. So, they need a better management strategy in logistic.. In my opinion, collaboration is a best option for both companies. In that way both can get the support of each other to get expertise in their weak areas. Having just entered the area of logistics, they do not have high exposure in this area. SAB Distribution however has experience in logistics and by becoming a partner in SAB Distribution (SAB) supply chain Jordano foods can increase their market and profitability. This partnership can be profitable to both companies with increased sales
companies. Jordano can get better strategy to solve its logistic problems. It helps to come down its cost by improving the efficiency and productivity.
LOGISTICS CHANNEL
JF already has an established supply chain with small to mid-size local distributors for their products. The SAB partnership can create new logistical channels for their products on a much larger scale. JF can continue with their established local supply and have a new supply segment dedicated to their partnership with SAB.
JF has earned a great reputation since the business was started and their annual revenue suggests that the business has the potential to grow. By hiring someone in the logistics field to develop this area the added value is tremendous as it relates to the growth of business which could lead to more plants, warehouses a country wide market. The Sab partnership is the first step in getting that added value and this will also add to SAB profitability for their executive, with the potential for them to not sell the company.
