Why IGNOU assignment status not updated on grade card portal?

Incorrect details

Ensure you have provided the correct enrolment number and subject code on the front page. Otherwise, they will not update your IGNOU assignment result.

Wrong question paper

Sometimes, students get confused during the session and submit the wrong question paper. So their marks doesn’t get updated at the right time.

Study centre is permanently closed.

Most of the time, we find that the study center is not working anymore, so the regional office allotted a new college, but you submitted your assignment to the old study centre, so the process takes some time to update the result.

Delay in evaluation

The university assigns tutors to evaluate IGNOU assignment marks. Because of the large number of students, it may take some time for your study centre to evaluate your paper.

I know it’s not your fault. It’s the study centers that always work slowly . Either they didn’t check your paper, or they didn’t send marks to the regional office.

Evaluations of Assignments are being taken care of by the Study Centre through their Counsellors. Further, it is updated through multiple channels and it involves several Sections/Divisions of the University for updating scores.

Here I will provide you the steps so you can get your assignment marks quickly. Now follow the steps below.

Step 1- Communication with the Study Center:

Reach out to your study center first to inquire about the delay. Show them your submission slip as proof and ask for an update.

Step 2- Complain IGRAM:

If the study centre is not giving the response about IGNOU assignment status even after contacting them, you can complain to the iGRAM portal using the following method.

Open the https://igram.ignou.ac.in/
In the grievance category, select “Assignment”
In the Subject field select “updation of marks”
Click on next
Fill in your basic details
In the Query option, write your complaint and mention your subjects.
Upload your acknowledgment/submission slip
Click on the submit button.

IGNOU Assignment Result and Marks Checking Process 2024

The assignment status will show you when the evaluation is done. The university will start updating your marks on the grade card as soon as the evaluation of the assignments is done. So, you must check the grade card after the assignment status says you to do so.

Step – 1 – Visit the official IGNOU portal at www.ignou.ac.in and go to Student Zone.

Step – 2 – Search for Results and click on it.

Step – 3 – From the left panel, click on Grade Card .

Step – 4 – Provide your program, course, and enrolment number to search and get your grade card.

As you see your grade card, you can check whether the university has updated your assignment marks on it or not. If the search results are leading to an error, this means the university has not yet started updating the grade cards of the students for this semester.

Why is my IGNOU assignment status showing “not found”?

If your IGNOU assignment status is still showing as “not found” or incomplete after you’ve submitted all of them, it could be due to processing delays or technical issues. Here’s what you can do:
